Telescopic mixer for the pharmaceutical industry
Telescopic mixer - PTM
The L.B. Bohle Blending Systems enable gentle, contamination-free mixing of pharmaceutical solids in a counter-current process with variable container filling levels between 20 and 85 %. Thanks to their modular design, scalable batch sizes and integrated lifting function, they can be flexibly integrated into automated production processes and also used as a transfer or sieving station.
More about the highlights
L.B. Bohle Blending Systems have been specially developed for the homogeneous mixing of pharmaceutical solids. The counter-current mixing system guarantees particularly gentle mixing of the product with relatively short Blending Times and mixing speeds. At the same time, it prevents contamination of the operator and the product during the process.
A significant advantage results from the container filling level of 20 to 85 % of the total volume of the container. Scale-up capable and reproducible batch sizes are achieved by using different container sizes. The modular design of the Bohle product range enables the container mixer to be integrated into the production flow and process automation. The lifting function allows the mixer to be used additionally as a transfer or sieving station
The PTM is a mobile mixing and transport unit that offers maximum flexibility and efficiency in your production. The entire construction is based on a stable stainless steel chassis, while all units and energy supply systems are safely housed under high-quality stainless steel panelling.
The centrepiece is the lift mast with outer and inner mast. This sliding mast principle ensures a GMP-compliant, hygienic and maintenance-friendly design. The hydraulic lift drive works with a plunger cylinder that is only pressurised with oil on one side and is connected to a powerful hydraulic unit.

What are L.B. Bohle Blending Systems used for?
L.B. Bohle Blending Systems are specially designed for the homogeneous mixing of pharmaceutical solids. They ensure particularly gentle mixing with short Blending Times and at the same time prevent contamination of the operator and product during the process.
What makes the mixing process particularly efficient?
The counter-current mixing process ensures that the solids are mixed efficiently at low mixing speeds. Thanks to a container filling level of 20 to 85 %, different batch sizes can be processed with Scale-up capability and reproducibility.
How flexible is the PTM in production?
The PTM 300 is a mobile mixing and transport unit that can be flexibly integrated into existing production processes and process automation. Thanks to its lifting function, it can be used not only as a mixer, but also as a transfer or sieving station.
What are the advantages of the PTM design?
The PTM impresses with its GMP-compliant, robust stainless steel design, which protects all units and enables easy cleaning. The hydraulic lift drive with sliding mast principle ensures precise handling and a high level of safety - ideal for flexible use in various production areas.
