What is the metformin preparation station?
The Metformin processing station is a mobile, compact unit for the efficient processing of Metformin blocks: the lump breaker and Bohle Turbo Screen (BTS) crush and Sieve the product; it is then transferred directly to the adjacent Fluidised Bed System (BFS) by vacuum.
How does the process work?
The operator unpacks the blocks at an ergonomic height, lifts them using the HMI-controlled platform and feeds them to the chipper unit. The shredded material is immediately Sieved in the BTS and transferred to the vacuum transfer system for the fluidised bed system via a suction shoe.
What are the advantages of the Metformin preparation station?
The Metformin preparation station is mobile thanks to its trolley and impresses with its compact, space-saving design. Ease of operation was at the centre of the system's design: the intuitive HMI enables simple and safe one-person operation. Thanks to the transparent view into the feed hopper and chopper, operators can keep an eye on the process at all times.
An integrated vibrator/beater ensures an even product flow and prevents build-up. In addition, direct suction at the feed hopper ensures low-dust, clean operation.
How is disassembly and cleaning carried out?
The assemblies can be dismantled quickly; a lifting column is used for the complete dismantling of the feed hopper and chopper. This ensures short set-up times, high GMP conformity and a reliable, reproducible process.
