    L.B. Bohle at the CPHI in Frankfurt

    Our participation at the CPHI from 28-30 October 2025 was a complete success. With the BRC 25 Dry Granulator and QbCon® 1, we exhibited two machines that impressed numerous visitors over the entire duration of the trade fair.

    Death of Lorenz Bohle

    On 11 May 2025, company founder Lorenz Bohle passes away at the age of 85. With his pioneering spirit, he shaped the development of L.B. Bohle for over five decades and set standards in pharmaceutical mechanical engineering.

    World firsts at the ACHEMA

    We once again presented three new machines at ACHEMA. With the BFC 5 Laboratory Coater, the BTS 200 Sieving and the BRC 25 Dry Granulator, we presented new technological developments.

    World firsts at INTERPACK

    A big appearance at Interpack: L.B. Bohle presents the new generation of machines with three new systems. The BFC 400 Tablet Coater, the BRC 100 Dry Granulator and the QbCon® 1 wowed trade visitors - technically optimised and with a new design.

    40 years of L.B. Bohle

    After being postponed twice due to the coronavirus pandemic, L.B. Bohle was finally able to celebrate the company's 40th anniversary. More than 500 guests celebrated a gala in the festively decorated Olympiahalle until late into the night.

  • Autumn 2021

    Start of production in plant 4

    L.B. Bohle starts up in the new production facility at Nordring 4 in Ennigerloh. A complete continuous production line for the manufacture of tablets using Wet Granulation is built there right at the start.

  • November 2020

    L.B. Bohle builds Plant 4 in Ennigerloh

    The new plant, which is being built within sight of Plant 3, will focus exclusively on the production of continuous machines and systems. An approx. 2,000m2 production complex will be built on a 12,000m2 site to the latest standards.

    New company restaurant in Ennigerloh

    L.B. Bohle has invested 1 million euros in the new company restaurant at its headquarters in Ennigerloh. From now on, customers and employees can dine in a modern, light-flooded atmosphere.

  • June 2018

    QbCon® 1 at the ACHEMA 2018

    With QbCon® 1, the first continuous Twin-Screw Granulator with a true continuous dryer was presented. In addition to QbCon® 1, L.B. Bohle also focussed on two other innovations with the HS 1000 SL Lifting Columns and the b.sure® process monitoring app.

    Expansion in Sassenberg

    The completion of the new building wing for designers, technicians and Documentation at the Sassenberg site went absolutely according to plan. With a total investment of one million euros, the building, offices and meeting rooms have now been occupied.

    Foundation of L.B. Bohle Schweiz AG

    In autumn 2017, L.B. Bohle founded its own service branch in Reiden, in the canton of Lucerne, in order to always be close to the customer and to be able to act flexibly and unbureaucratically.

    Great success at the Interpack

    For the first time, the company exhibited together with Korsch AG and customers were able to find out about the latest trends in batch and continuous processes. The new BCG 25 Twin-Screw Granulator was also presented to the public.

    Lorenz Bohle takes over as Chairman of the Advisory Board

    The two long-standing employees Dipl.-Ing. Tim Remmert, Head of Sales, and Dipl.-Ing. Thorsten Wesselmann, Technical Manager, will take over the management on 1 January 2017.

    ACHEMA: Focus on Continuous Manufacturing

    At Achema in Frankfurt am Main, L.B. Bohle will be presenting everything to do with batch and continuous processing to interested visitors from the pharmaceutical industry. The continuous production system QbCon® inspires the visitors.

    Opening: Technology Centre

    The Technology Centre at the company's headquarters in Ennigerloh is opened with a symposium on the topic of "Continuous Manufacturing" and the QbCon® production system is available for testing purposes in the Technology Centre.

    Interpack: Innovations in fluidised bed technology

    L.B. Bohle is presenting two innovations at Interpack in Düsseldorf. The Bohle Uni Cone BUC® optimises L.B. Bohle's fluidised bed technology. The BRC 25 Dry Granulator was presented as a further innovation.

  • Autumn 2013

    Ground-breaking ceremony: Technology Centre

    Continuous Manufacturing - ground-breaking ceremony for the new Technology Centre. Between 6 and 8 million euros will be invested in the new test, development and presentation centre over the next few years.

    Plant 3

    Inauguration of the new production facility "Plant 3" in Ennigerloh. From now on, process machines such as coaters, fluidised bed systems and compact systems are manufactured not far from the main plant.

    Fluidised bed technology: Screed Uni Cone BUC®

    L.B. Bohle has the Bohle Uni Cone BUC® process protected. Even the smallest particles can be coated precisely.

    Achema: Compactor expands granulation programme

    L.B. Bohle is presenting its new BRC 100 Dry Granulator at Achema in Frankfurt am Main. Bohle is thus expanding its product portfolio in the pelletising process segment.

    Interpack: Focus on continuous production and granulation

    At Interpack, L B. Bohle is presenting the new Continuous Coater generation KOCO® , the Twin-Screw Granulator BCG and a new compact system - a combination of high-speed granulator and fluidised bed system.

    Expansion in Sassenberg

    Foundation stone laid for an expansion of the Sassenberg site; € 2.5 million is invested.

    KOCO® - Coating technology

    The semi-continuous Coater - KOCO® is developed.

    Twin screw granulation: BCG

    The BCG will be presented at Achema in Frankfurt.

  • 2007

    Tablet coating: Bohle Tablet Coater BTC

    The company launches the Bohle Tablet Coater BTC onto the market. Bohle's patented airflow system inside the coating drum minimises the risk of spray drying.

  • 2005

    Ennigerloh Service Centre

    In 2005, the Service Centre at the Ennigerloh site is completed and inaugurated. From now on, machines and processes can be tested and developed in a complete pharmaceutical production line in the Service Centre.

  • 2003

    Granulation: Fluidised bed process

    With the tangential fluidised bed process, L.B. Bohle lays the foundation for more compact systems.

    Sassenberg

    Development of the Sassenberg site

    Tablet coating: First 200 kg coater

    The first 200 kg coater with CIP equipment and long cylindrical drum from L.B. Bohle is launched on the market.

  • 1998

    Coating technology: First 70 kg coater

    L.B. Bohle expands its product range to include coating technology with the first 70 kg coater. The first coaters are still equipped with a changeable drum.

  • 1991

    Granulation: First one-pot granulator

    With the first single-pot pelletiser (VMA), L.B. Bohle lays the foundation for its entry into process technology. The first VMA is already equipped with microwave drying.

  • 1987

    Mixing technology: First Container Blender

    The first Container Blender is sold. It marks the beginning of a growth story that continues to this day.

  • 1986

    Relocation

    Relocation to Ennigerloh, the current headquarters. A plant for dust-free penicillin production serves as a reference for growth.

  • 1983

    Start of production

    L.B. Bohle Maschinen und Verfahren GmbH starts its own production. Lifting Columns and containers are added to the product range.

  • 1981

    Foundation

    After many years as a technical manager in a pharmaceutical company, Lorenz Bohle founds his own company as a designer of specialised machinery in the Westkirchen district of Ennigerloh. He is the first to develop the KA tablet checker. Robert Stauvermann, the current plant manager, has been with the company from the very beginning.
