Tablet container handling for the pharmaceutical industry
Tablet container handling - ROB 50
The ROB 50 fully automates the transport processes between the Tableting machine and Tablet Coater. The integrated control software has an inventory system for all containers and container positions.
More about the highlights
The control unit plans the various transport tasks and optimises the material flow according to predefined priorities via interfaces to the Tableting press and Tablet Coater. This achieves optimised task planning.
It also ensures compliance with the predefined expansion times(relaxation time), which is crucial for product quality.
Originally developed for use inQbCon®continuous production, the ROB 50 can also automate product transfer in batch production, thus closing the gap between the Tableting and Tablet Coater. For this purpose, L.B. Bohle offers product variants of the ROB 50 for larger containers.
Automated tablet container handling ROB - The advantages
-
Fully automatic transport processes between Tableting and Tablet Coater optimise production time
-
Avoidance of cracking / crevice formation in the film coating by observing the relaxation time. The film coating process is only carried out after the tablet cores have expanded.
-
Avoidance of risks in the production process
-
Flexible adjustment of the storage container size according to the specified throughput rate of the Tableting press and the Tablet Coater as well as the specified product-specific relaxation time.
-
Automation leads to cost reductions in product handling
What are the advantages of automating tablet container handling?
The automation process with the ROB 50 offers several concrete advantages for tablet production:
- Reduced Lead Time / Turnaround Time
- Improved product quality
- Reduced risk of errors and downtime
- Cost savings
Flexible use in batch production or Continuous Manufacturing
What risks does the automated handling of tablet containers minimise?
The automated handling of tablet containers with the ROB 50 specifically minimises several risks in the pharmaceutical production process:
- Avoidance of cracks in the Tablet Coating
- Reduction of contamination risks
- Minimisation of operating errors
- Avoidance of interruptions in the material flow
- Avoidance of incorrect storage or insufficient storage time
Is the ROB 50 available in different versions or variants?
Yes, the size/volume of the tablet container can be adjusted according to the specified throughput rate of the tablet press and Tablet Coater. This means that the production bandwidth is not limited.
Is the ROB 50 only designed for Continuous Manufacturing?
No, the automated tablet container handling system ROB is designed for use in continuous and batch production and optimises process sequences and increases product quality.
