Compact Granulation Systems for the pharmaceutical industry
Compact Granulation System BFS and GMA
Low space requirements, flexible use and smooth production processes are decisive criteria when the pharmaceutical industry invests in granulation systems. L.B. Bohle sets standards in this area with its compact granulation systems.
More about the highlights
The Bohle Compact Granulation System (BFS & GMA) optimally integrates the individual components high-shear granulator GMA, wet screen BTS, fluidised bed granulator and dryer BFS, Bohle Uni Cone BUC®, cyclone separator and dry screen BTS into a single unit. The process, cleaning, control, explosion protection, zone concept and qualification are closely harmonised.
The compact granulation module allows for a particularly space-saving installation thanks to the components being arranged directly next to each other. In addition, a direct product transfer from the outlet valve of the GMA to the intake valve of the BFS is possible via a stainless steel pipe.
- High-shear granulator and fluid bed granulation right next to each other
- Bohle Uni Cone BUC® enables complete fluidisation of the particles; uniform filming due to tangential particle movement.
- Low space requirement and minimum overall height
- Multi-purpose use for a wide range of processes
- One control panel to control both machines
- WIP cleaning guarantees a fast cleaning time
- Highest product quality

What advantages does the Compact Granulation System from L.B. Bohle offer for tablet production?
The system impresses with its small footprint, flexible application options and smooth production process. It integrates all the central process steps of Wet Granulation and drying in one compact unit, making it ideal for GMP-compliant and efficient production.
Which components are combined in the compact system?
The system combines the high-shear granulator (GMA), the wet screen (BTS), the fluidised bed processor (BFS) with Bohle Uni Cone BUC®, a cyclone separator and a dry screen.
How does the product transfer within the system work?
A direct product transfer takes place via a closed stainless steel line from the GMA to the BFS. Additional integrated emptying and transfer valves enable a continuous process flow without conversions, which saves time and minimises the risk of Cross-contamination.
What technological advantages does the system offer in operation?
The Bohle Uni Cone BUC® technology ensures complete fluidisation of the particles and uniform filming. The result: maximum product quality, short cleaning times thanks to the WIP system and an ergonomic, economical solution for optimising classic wet granulation processes.
