German Design Award for new machine generation - L.B. Bohle honoured multiple times

German Design Award - Frankfurt: The joy at L.B. Bohle was great. The technology company from Ennigerloh was honoured three times with the German Brand Award. "At Interpack in May this year, we gave the starting signal for our new generation of machines with the presentation of three new systems," says Managing Director Thorsten Wesselmann, looking back. "Our machines have not only been technically optimised, but also redesigned with a pioneering industrial design," continues Wesselmann.

After consulting with industrial designers with whom the machines were designed, the management of L.B. Bohle decided to enter the Tablet Coater BFC, the Dry Granulator BRC and QbCon 1, a continuous granulator and dryer for Research & Development, for the design award.

The German Design Award is open to companies, agencies, service providers and marketing experts as well as non-profit and government organisations from all sectors worldwide. The independent jury of the German Design Council decides on admission to the competition and the subsequent winners.

"After the consistently positive reactions to our new machines, we were secretly hoping for an award," reports Wesselmann. L.B. Bohle was honoured as the winner for the BRC and QbCon, while the BFC Tablet Coater received a special award.

"We were surprised that we were honoured three times," says Wesselmann. Overall, those responsible at L.B. Bohle see the award as recognition that they took the right step with the bold new design.

"Thanks to an outstanding team effort within the company, together with the external designers, we have succeeded in developing a completely new design line for our systems that ensures identification with the L.B. Bohle company. Winning the German Design Award will also help us to attract even more attention and visibility in the market," says Managing Director Tim Remmert, who also sees further positive effects from the award.
